"TRANSILVANIA MEDIEVAL LAND"

Day 1 (122 km, cycle 0 km)

Arrival on Henri Coanda airport in Bucharest; Transfer by coach to Sinaia on the DN1 road; if arrival till close time, visit the Peles Castle) Accommodation and dinner in Hotel New Montana 4****;
installation; welcome meeting; bike fitting - and orientation of our program for the week. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 2 (155 km, cycle 75 km)

Breakfast;(Visit the Peles Castle) Transfer by coach to the intersection with the road no. 71; cycle on this road to Pietrosita, then take the local roads through Runcu, Ferestre, Brebu, Pucheni to Malu cu Flori; transfer by coach to Podul Dambovitei and then, cycle on the road no. 73 to Bran / Moieciu de Jos; Accommodation and dinner (with folkloric music and dance) in Pension Craiasa Muntilor 3***;

Day 3 (145 km, cycle 67 km)

Breakfast; Transfer by coach to Bran Castle (the castel due of Dracula legend), after continuing by coach to Zarnesti, Poiana Marului till the top of road. Continue by bike from Poiana Marului, cycle on the 73A road to Sinca Veche, where we take the local roads to Sambata resort; serving the picnic lunch on the road. Accommodation and dinner in Hotel Diana 3***;

Day 4 (81 km, cycle 65 km)

Breakfast; Transfer by coach to Voila. Cycle on the local roads northwards through: Voila, Cincsor, Rodbav, Soars, Barcut, Bradeni (visit the fortified church and serving the picnic lunch), Apold (visit the citadel), to Sighisoara;Tour of the citadel by feet; Accommodation and dinner in Hotel Sighisoara 3***;

Day 5 (156 km, cycle 57 km)

Breakfast; Transfer by coach to the Saros pe Tarnave village and cycle on a local road to visit the fortified churches: Biertan; Richis; Mosna; arrival in Medias city; Bazna resort (stop for lunch), Boian and Cetatea de Balta - stop for wine tasting; Transfer by coach to Sibiu; Accommodation and dinner in Hotel Continental 3***;

Day 6 (276 km, cycle 49 km)

Breakfast; Tour of city by feet. Transfer by coach to Balea Cascada on the Transfagarasan road; Cycle uphill to Balea Lac through magnificent scenery (stop for lunch); From Balea Lac the road goes mainly downhill and passes the Vidraru Lake and Poienari Citadel's ruins; Regroup at Chalet Capra; Transfer by coach to Bucharest; Accommodation and dinner in a Hotel Central 3***;

Day 7 (60 km, cycle 0 km)

Breakfast; Panoramic coach tour of the city (it's not safe to ride the bike on the streets of Bucharest); Guided tour of Bucharest including a visit to the Palace of Parliament (People's House), the grandest administrative construction in Europe. It has hundreds of offices, halls for reception or for scientific, cultural, social-political reunions, dozens of conference rooms. It covers over 265.000 square meters interior surface, being the second biggest in the world after the Pentagon building in Washington. It is the third in the world in what concerns its volume, after the Cape Canaveral building in USA (where the cosmic rockets are assembled) and after the Quetzalcoatl pyramid in Mexico, the Village Museum (which gather about 300 houses from all around Romania), serving the lunch on Baneasa forest; In the night serving the dinner in a local traditional restaurant; Accommodation in Hotel Central 3***;

Day 8 (20 km, cycle 0 km)

Morning at leisure; Transfer by coach to the Henri Coanda airport.

Back-up Vehicles
There will be luggage transfers between hotels and an accompanying vehicle throughout the route.

Cycles
Your must provide your own cycle - touring or ATB with 32 - 37mm road tires. An accurately calibrated cycle computer is recommended.
Bike rental is possible at 10 EUR/day (type Neuzer-Matrix)

Accommodation and meals
7 nights accommodation will be in shared rooms (2 sharing) in hotels of 2,3,4 star rating.
Breakfast, lunch and evening dinner on all days.

Passports, Visas and Health
You must hold a passport with at least six months validity remaining at the end of the tour. No VISA is required for EU residents.
There are no compulsory health-related requirements for foreign visitors although it is strongly recommended that you are vaccinated against Diptheria, Tetanus, Polio and Hepatitis A. You should contact your doctor at least 3 months prior to travel to obtain these vaccinations and the latest advice to travelers.

Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking that you are adequately insured for this tour. Should you already hold a policy or wish to take an alternative policy this must offer comparable levels of cover to the recommended policy, and you must complete the enclosed Insurance Declaration Form and return it with your Booking Form. Ro Team Tour srl can accept no responsibility for any costs you may incur due to insufficient insurance cover.
